Sure Smile® Clear Aligners – What are they?

Sure Smile® straightens your smile using a series of clear aligners that safely shift your teeth according to your unique, doctor-directed treatment plan. All of your aligners are 100% custom-made just for you. Each aligner will make slight adjustments to tooth position, a process that is mapped out in advance with our proprietary technology and approved and prescribed by a state-licensed dentist or orthodontist.  Fast Braces® Fresno is committed to getting you a smile you love, for life.

How are Sure Smile® Clear Aligners different from other aligners?

Sure Smile® Clear Aligners are designed using a customized treatment plan developed from our proprietary software and our Sure Smile® Digital Lab experts who work directly with your doctor. Once your treatment plan is developed, we manufacture your aligners using advanced technology to achieve aligners with smooth edges for ultimate comfort. This process enables predictable results. You will know what to expect and when to come into Fast Braces® Fresno for check-ins. We know that when clear aligners don’t interfere with your daily routine, you can achieve a healthy, beautiful smile.

Sure Smile® isn’t a household name like Invisalign, but it’s one of the clear aligner giant’s top competitors. And we promise: lesser-known does not mean lesser treatment. Sure Smile® matches Invisalign category for category, treating all classes of malocclusions while saving time and money for many patients.

Aligner Cut

Your aligner’s shape directs pressure against the teeth, but the cut determines how much force it can generate. A scalloped cut means the top of the aligner follows the gum line, while a straight cut overlaps the gums. Straight-cut aligners leverage your gums to generate greater force, making them more effective.

Invisalign uses a scalloped cut, and they can make up for its decreased effectiveness by employing attachments. Sure Smile® offers a unique approach: your doctor can choose either scalloped or straight — depending on what they think is best for you — and if they go for the straight cut, they can set the overlap to two, three, or four millimeters. They can also incorporate attachments, giving them a ton of fine-tuned precision in treatment planning.

Oversight

No treatment is perfect 100% of the time, so there’s always a small chance something can go wrong. Sometimes, the teeth, ligaments, and bones just don’t respond as planned, and in quite a few cases, user error throws things off track. Oversight helps to catch problems early and correct course before they get out of hand.  Most patients can expect to visit their dentist every 2 – 3 months.  Dr. Tom will work with you to determine the best plan for your new beautiful smile.
